About Me
Hi, I’m Mehnaz! I’ve been teaching and tutoring since high school and love helping students build confidence in their learning. I’ve worked with a wide range of ages and subjects, and I always aim to create a supportive, encouraging space where questions are welcomed and progress is celebrated. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy baking, spending time in nature, and exploring new places. I’m excited to work with you!
Education
I’m majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, on track to graduate in 2027.
Teaching Experience
I've been passionate about teaching since my sophomore year of high school. I started as a summer camp instructor and have continued to return every summer. In addition to that, I tutor for America Reads, where I’ve worked with students in 3rd-grade English, 7th-grade English, and 8th-grade math. At UVA, I also serve as a peer mentor, helping first-year students adjust to college life and offering academic guidance.
Interests
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time in nature. I enjoy traveling—whether it’s exploring new cities or planning hikes in the mountains. I also love to bake, especially trying out new recipes or checking out local cafes in my area.
