About Me
Hi, I’m Ellie! I am passionate about teaching and love making the process of learning fun! I am kind, empathetic, silly, and honest. I love to read, sing, run, and be in nature. I look forward to learning from and with you!
Education
I have a Bachelor of Human Services from Tyndale University in Ontario, Canada. I have a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. I am currently working on my Master’s of Professional Mental Health Counseling at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL (Online program). I am set to graduate in 2026!
Teaching Experience
Both of my parents are teachers so I have been seeing the ins and outs of the classroom for a while! I did my student teaching placement for a year in Ontario Canada (Kindergarten and 5/6th grade). I taught Kindergarten in 2022/23 at Keys Gate Charter School in Homestead, FL. I taught K, 1, 2 Reading at Western Academy Charter School from August - October of this year until I decided to go back to school myself. Currently, I am substitute teaching K-8th grade at Renaissance at Wellington Charter School in Florida.
Interests
I love to sing, run, volunteer with the Youth at church, go for coffee with friends, read, go to the beach, and watch the sunset!
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
