A tutor is responsible for customizing lessons geared towards a student’s specific needs, whereas a classroom environment offers a single curriculum for students from a wide variety of levels and backgrounds. By working with a tutor, you’ll be able to move with the pace that best accommodates your learning needs. Moreover, while teachers sometimes lack qualifications for the subjects they teach, private tutors normally performed at the very top of the population in their field, and normally in the process of acquiring accolades and advanced degrees in the fields they are teaching. By working with a tutor you can work at your own pace with a more qualified instructor.

Gainesville also calls home to one of the top community colleges in the nation, Santa Fe College, which is known for its esteemed liberal arts, health sciences, and animal sciences Associate degree programs. Santa Fe College enrolls almost 24,000 students annually and is the number one public college in Florida in terms of graduation rate.

Parliament Tutors provides expert tutoring in every subject, and standardized test across every grade level from kindergarten through graduate school. We provide tutoring for all standardized tests such as the state-administered FCAT exams in addition to national exams such as the ISEE, SAT, ACT, and graduate exams such as the LSAT, MCAT, GMAT, GRE and DAT exams. We can also provide tutoring for your class load whenever necessary whether you are struggling in a math, science, language or anything else!

Because Lake Park features a large percentage of foreign born residents, it makes sense why high school graduation rates may be a bit lower in Lake Florida than elsewhere in the country. According to the most recent census data, approximately 73% of all residents twenty-five and older earn a high school diploma, while 15% earn a college degree or higher. Lake Park is reputed to have a strong public school system, but does tend to export more students for college than it ships in. Aside for those wishing to study massage therapy or cosmetology, Lake Park does not offer many options collegiately. Those looking to remain in Florida for their bachelors are best served considering state flagships like the University of Florida or Florida State University.

More so than any other subject, students nationally struggle with math for a myriad of reasons. While one can grasp the Civil War just fine even if they don’t understand the Revolutionary War, math is often taught as a series of concepts all built upon one another. Consequently, a student who struggles in one small area of the curriculum may begin to struggle in many other areas. Additionally, many students feel that math does not relate to them as it is purely abstract and therefore “boring”. In turn, many students don’t carry the same level of motivation into their math class as they do into others.

Doing well in school not only opens up doors professionally, but, it also creates a set of personality traits including strong work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, maturity, self-discipline and raw intelligence. As a student maximizes their academic performance, they also further develop all of these aforementioned qualities.
