About Me
I want students to know that it is completely okay to ask questions and make mistakes. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can work through challenging problems without feeling intimidated. I believe that everyone can learn math and STEM subjects with the right support and practice. I’m here to help you understand the concepts, build confidence, and develop problem-solving skills—not just get the right answer. Please feel free to ask me anything, even if you think it is a “simple” question!
Education
I got the M.S. and Ph.D. in Oceanography from the University of Connecticut.
Teaching Experience
I have experience teaching and tutoring mathematics, physics, and quantitative subjects to students with a variety of academic backgrounds. With a Ph.D. in Oceanography and degrees in Physics, I have a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and quantitative modeling. My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the underlying concepts and develop problem-solving skills rather than simply memorizing formulas. I enjoy working one-on-one with students, identifying areas where they need support, and explaining challenging concepts in clear and approachable ways. I am particularly comfortable tutoring college-level mathematics, including algebra, calculus, and other quantitative subjects, as well as physics and STEM-related topics.
