The ACT measures high school students’ abilities to compete at the college-level. It is a multiple choice exam as widely accepted as the SAT. The test covers Mathematics, Science, English, and reading. An optional writing component assesses students’ organizational and writing skills.
The ACT lasts 2 hours and 55 minutes with an optional 30 minute Writing Sample. Like the SAT, the test covers English and Math; however, the ACT also covers Science and Social Studies. Visit ACTstudent.org to learn more from the official ACT sponsors.
